Inclusive translation services in the UK

With over a decade of experience as a translator and interpreter (for the NHS among other clients), I encountered numerous situations where women — both patients and staff, including myself — often felt ignored or vulnerable when seeking help.

Inclusion, hard work and dedication

As a translator for the NHS, I’ve witnessed first-hand the challenges women —both patients and staff— face in feeling heard and valued.

Better training in inclusive language and empathetic behaviour could have prevented many of these situations.

I know what it’s like to be a woman in the workplace, struggling to find content that’s both informative and empathetic.

That’s why I’m dedicated to empowering businesses in healthcare, journalism and education to champion women’s rights and foster a culture of inclusion and feminism.

Rebranding

I decided to rebrand from Creative Empwering Services, but the valúes remain the same. To me, there is no inclusion without feminism and vice versa.
As a feminist, I think that we can’t claim to support women’s rights if we don’t understand their realities fully, and that includes talking about race, disabilities (or different capacities), gender (assigned at birth or not), level of education or migration status (among other factors), and to obtain and preserve those rights, we have to talk about inclusivity.
The new logo with the faces in different colours represents the idea of inclusivity while supporting the cause by offering something to society (in this case, knowledge, and help to transmit the message across languages).

The rebranding’s aim is to clarify my role as a solopreneur in the translation business, while I keep promoting inclusion through my work.
